Auxiliary Plant Mechanic - Rustenburg

Position: Auxiliary Plant Mechanic
Department: Engineering

ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT’S MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Thorough knowledge of the following mining equipment e.g. Caterpillar, Liebher and Volvo.
Manage and control service crews.
Troubleshoot any type of failure.
Plan, lead and supervise.
Perform the following duties: forecasting preventative maintainance and breakdowns
A strong focus on safety and health practices.
THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL
Grade 12
Minimum of N3 qualification - Qualified Artisan valid certificate (completed trade test).
Computer literate
Code 8 Drivers license.
3 – 5 years : auxiliary plant Mechanic
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Numerical fluency
Assertiveness
Organising, control and planning
He/ She must be in possession of a valid red ticket (medical certificate of fitness) or be fit to undergo and pass a medical examination which must include an eye sight, depth perception and hearing test.
The ideal candidate must be mature and act with responsibility, should have good communication skills, be able to work independently and be a team player, a strong desire to learn new skills.The salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and a range of standard fringe benefits will apply.
